Occupational therapy helps children develop skills to perform their routine activities independently.
Occupational therapists help families through providing support, strategies and resources individualized to your child.
Challenges with self regulation, 'picky eaters', achieving developmental milestones, balance, coordination and school based difficulties including fine motor skills, handwriting and learning difficulties are common referrals.
OT is unique in the way we assess each individual child. OTs consider physical, psychological, social and environmental factors that may affect functioning and plan intervention specific for each child.
OT on the Go offers treatment for delays or differences in : sensory processing and modulation, self regulation, attention, practical life skills, social skills, coordination, learning, fine and gross motor skills.

OT on the Go bus is fully equipped with a sensory gym. It is used for individual and small group therapy. This concept is able to provide the therapeutic gym without the need for you to travel. Ideally, OT on the Go can reach rural areas for communities that homeschool and/or attend private schools/daycares.
OT evaluations include parent/caregiver interviews, child history and rapport building sessions with each child. Comprehensive assessments and functional summaries using standardized and non-standardized measures will be completed based on the needs of the child and family.
In addition to individual therapy, group therapy and informational sessions are offered to parents and caregivers. Additional consultation is available with schools and educational teams to provide strategies for children in educational and social settings. Long term vocational pursuits can be addressed as needed to support each child to reach his or her full potential.
